Earlier this week LPD issued communication concerning the UL Science Museum, a LCG owned facility, operated and managed entirely by the University and in accordance with the 2022 Cooperative Endeavor Agreement. In an effort to clarify LPD’s responsibility in and around the facility, I asked LCG City-Parish Attorney Pat Ottinger to evaluate the situation.

On August 5, the Lafayette Parks, Arts, Recreation, and Culture (PARC) Department announced youth football and volleyball registration. In addition to the Scott Area Team Sports (SATS) and Southwest Athletics (SWA), the Carencro Area Youth Sports Inc. (CAYSI) will also accept registrations for the Lafayette PARC Youth Football and Youth Volleyball leagues.
