ROAD CLOSURES SCHEDULED FOR DOWNTOWN BOLLARD PROJECT

Lafayette, LA –Lafayette Consolidated Government’s Traffic, Roads, and Bridges Department announces upcoming road closures in Downtown Lafayette as part of the Downtown Bollard Project. The closures will allow contractors to install bollards to enhance pedestrian safety and traffic control.

The following streets will be closed from Monday, March 24, 2025, through Friday, April 4, 2025:

• E. Main St. between Jefferson St. and Polk St.
• E. Congress St. between Polk St. and Taylor St.
• Lafayette St. between W. Main St. and W. Vermilion St.

Local access to businesses within the affected areas will be maintained. Motorists and pedestrians are encouraged to use alternate routes and exercise caution when traveling near construction zones.
