STUTES ROAD CLOSURE FOR BRIDGE REPLACEMENT PROJECT

Lafayette, LA –Stutes Road will be closed from February 11, 2025, through August 11, 2025, for the replacement of the existing bridge (located approximately 0.36 miles west of Lagneaux Road).

The full bridge replacement project includes the removal of the existing 20-foot timber bridge and the installation of a double box culvert, along with associated earthwork and roadway improvements. These upgrades will enhance the durability and safety of the roadway for motorists.

Detour routes will be in place, and local access will be maintained throughout the project. Motorists are advised to use the following detour routes:

• Lagneaux Road
• Ridge Road
• Fernway Lane
  

Lafayette Consolidated Government’s Traffic, Roads, and Bridges Department encourages drivers to plan their routes accordingly and exercise caution when traveling near the construction zone.
