NORTHEAST BOUND LANE IN 100 BLOCK OF ACADEMY ROAD SCHEDULED FOR CLOSURE

Lafayette, LA – The northeast bound travel lane in the 100 block of Academy Road (heading toward Rena Drive) will be closed from January 22 through February 11, 2025. This closure is necessary for sewer infrastructure repairs being performed by a Lafayette Utilities System (LUS) contractor.

Traffic Impacts and Detour Information:

• Motorists traveling northwest bound on Camellia Boulevard (heading toward Johnston Street) will not be permitted to turn right onto Academy Road. Instead, they must detour via Eastland Drive and then onto Rena Drive.
• Motorists traveling northeast bound on Mt. Vernon Drive will not be permitted to access Academy Road. The detour will direct them to Camellia Boulevard, to Eastland Drive, and then to Rena Drive.
