RUE DES ETOILES BRIDGE CLOSING

Lafayette, LA – The Rue Des Etoiles Bridge will close beginning Monday, October 9 for crews to begin operations for a full bridge replacement. The closure is expected to take approximately 9 months. 

Crews will be replacing the 3-span timber bridge, built in 1970 with a 3-span concrete bridge to include concrete piles, guardrails, and asphalt widening. The channel will also be lined with revetment to protect the bridge and the channel slopes.
