2025 Annual Report

From $186M+ in infrastructure projects to a 44% reduction in violent crime and the highest employment levels in Lafayette’s history, the report reflects continued investment in our community and the work happening across your government.

LafayetteNOW

Lafayette Consolidated Government (LCG) and the Lafayette Parish Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness (OHSEP) announce the official launch of LafayetteNOW, a modern emergency alert notification system designed to deliver timely, critical updates to the public when it matters most.

Taylor Center 2026 Education Schedule

Housing Counseling Services is offering a variety of FREE services available to the public. Including, HOME OWNERSHIP TRAINING, a FINANCIAL LITERACY WORKSHOP, and a HOME MAINTENANCE WORKSHOP. Pre-registration is required. Call in advance to reserve your spot.

Bloomberg Philanthropies Mayors Challenge

Lafayette will receive $1 million as well as operational support and additional funding for dedicated staff to scale its tested innovation to repair failing private sewer infrastructure, reduce stormwater infiltration, and unlock thousands of new development opportunities.

ABOUT THE TAYLOR CENTER

The Taylor Center is Lafayette Consolidated Government’s community hub for housing support, financial empowerment, and neighborhood stability. Operated through LCG’s Community Development & Planning Department, the Center offers no-cost homeowner workshops, one-on-one counseling, first-time homebuyer loans, and a range of housing rehabilitation and accessibility programs—including repair grants, ramp assistance, and sewer repair support.
