Adopt-A-Stop Ribbon Cutting ()

Lafayette Consolidated Government will celebrate the official ribbon cutting of the newest Adopt-A-Stop bus shelter at Autumnwood Place. City Council Chair and District 3 Councilwoman Liz Webb Hebert initiated the Adopt-A-Stop program in 2018 and continues to encourage public-private partnerships for this critical effort to improve Lafayette’s transit experience.

The ribbon-cutting ceremony and grand re-opening celebration will commence with official remarks at 3:30 p.m.

African American Heritage Trail Ribbon Cutting ()

Phase one of this trail highlights the rich African American heritage of Lafayette through thoughtfully-designed signage and interactive elements at seven, local sites. The project was made possible by the dedicated efforts of community members who participated in workshops, meetings, and brainstorming sessions, providing invaluable input throughout the design process.

LCG invites all community members, stakeholders, and history enthusiasts to attend the ribbon cutting ceremony and explore this new cultural asset.
