Lafayette Consolidated Government invites all community members, stakeholders, and outdoor enthusiasts to attend this momentous occasion and explore the newly expanded Brown Park, which includes a new playground, practice tee ball/little league field, extended walking path, small and large dog parks, outdoor basketball court, and so much more! The ribbon-cutting ceremony and grand re-opening celebration will commence with official remarks at 3:30 p.m.

African American Heritage Trail Ribbon Cutting ()

Phase one of this trail highlights the rich African American heritage of Lafayette through thoughtfully-designed signage and interactive elements at seven, local sites. The project was made possible by the dedicated efforts of community members who participated in workshops, meetings, and brainstorming sessions, providing invaluable input throughout the design process.

LCG invites all community members, stakeholders, and history enthusiasts to attend the ribbon cutting ceremony and explore this new cultural asset.
