The Athletics division of Lafayette Parks and Recreation Department provides recreational activities for Youth ages 5-17 and Adults 18 and above. Its mission is to meet physical and social needs of the citizens of Acadiana.
Registration is now open for the Lafayette PARC Adult Basketball Leagues. Registration will be open March 10 through April 14, 2025. Players will be able to register online at https://secure.rec1.com/LA/lafayette-city-and-parish-la/catalog or at the Lafayette PARC Administration Offices at Girard Park. The Adult Leagues will consist of
The Open Adult Men’s League and Open Adult Women’s League will be open to all players ages 18 and above. Registration cost will be $650 per team. During registration, players will be able to enter the name of their team. There will be a maximum of 15 players allowed on each team.
The 40+ Adult Men’s League will be open only to players ages 40 and above. Registration cost will be $650 per team. During registration, players will be able to enter the name of their team. There will be a maximum of 15 players allowed on each team.
The Employee League will consist of teams from businesses in the area. In order to participate in the Employee League, players must be employed with and receive a regular paycheck from the company. Registration cost will be $650 per team. There will be a maximum of 15 players allowed on each team.
All teams are responsible for acquiring their own jerseys and basketballs. Registration costs will cover operating costs.
The Adult Basketball season is tentatively scheduled to begin the week of April 21, 2025. Games will be played Mondays thru Fridays at the following locations:

The Lafayette PARC Youth Baseball/Softball program registration will be operated by the following associations: Scott Area Team Sports (SATS), Southwest Athletics (SWA), Cajun Sports Association (CSA), Brown Park Association (BPA), and Carencro Area Youth Sports, Inc. (CAYSI). Registration fees will go toward baseball-related needs. Parents are encouraged to provide a glove, batting helmet, and bat for their child.
