The Athletics division of Lafayette Parks and Recreation Department provides recreational activities for Youth ages 5-17 and Adults 18 and above. Its mission is to meet physical and social needs of the citizens of Acadiana.

Youth Basketball Registration – NOW OPEN!

Registration is now open for Lafayette PARC's Junior NBA and Junior WNBA Youth Basketball programs, welcoming participants ages 5-16. The season is scheduled to start on January 4, 2025, and conclude on March 8, 2025.

Who can participate?
This program facilitates various league divisions based on age.

Where are games played? 
Lafayette PARC Recreation Centers serve as the perfect venues for this program. Games are hosted at the following locations:

How do I register? What’s the cost? 
Five local associations will facilitate registration: Scott Area Team Sports (SATS), Southwest Athletics (SWA), Cajun Sports Association (CSA), Brown Park Association (BPA), and Carencro Area Youth Sports, Inc. (CAYSI). Registration fees will support the basketball program’s needs. For information and registration, please refer to each association's details below.
