2024-2025 LCG External Agencies Funding Program

Through the External Agencies Funding Program, Lafayette City-Parish Consolidated Government (LCG) supports Social Service and Arts and Culture agencies that enhance the economic, social, cultural, and educational welfare of citizens of Lafayette Parish. Grants are available to Social Service and Arts and Culture agencies with 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status from the Internal Revenue Service.

The LCG Community Development & Planning Department administers the Social Service funding program. A Social Service agency is generally defined as an agency that provides direct services to people in need. A Social Service agency may serve the general public or specific populations (e.g. children, victims of domestic violence, persons with disabilities, etc.)

LCG partners with the Acadiana Center for the Arts (AcA) to administer the Arts and Culture funding program. An Arts and Culture agency is generally defined as an agency whose mission statement makes clear that the agency's primary purpose is to develop, promote, encourage, and/or present the arts to the public. Eligible agencies should ensure community accessibility to programs and target diverse populations.
