TEURLINGS DRIVE CLOSURE SCHEDULED FOR RAILROAD CROSSING ENHANCEMENTS

Lafayette, LA – Lafayette Consolidated Government’s Traffic, Roads, and Bridges Department announces the temporary closure of Teurlings Drive at the railroad crossing located between E. Willow Street and Lajaunie Road beginning Wednesday, April 16, at 7:00 a.m. through Friday, April 18, at 7:00 a.m.

Louisiana & Delta Railroad will be performing at-grade railroad crossing enhancements during this time.

Detour routes will be available, and local access will be maintained throughout the duration of the closure.

Motorists needing access to David Thibodaux STEM Magnet Academy and residents north or south of the closure should use the following detour routes:

• E. Willow Street
• Louisiana Avenue
• E. Alexander Street

Drivers are encouraged to use caution in the area, follow posted detour signage, and allow extra travel time.
