CANBERRA ROAD CLOSURE FOR BRIDGE REPLACEMENT

Lafayette, LA – Lafayette Consolidated Government (LCG)’s Public Works Department announces the closure of Canberra Road, approximately 0.40 miles east of Johnston Street, beginning July 8, 2024. This closure is scheduled for approximately eight months for crews to remove and replace the existing bridge along with the associated roadway, drainage and water lines.

Detour routes will be available to ensure the smooth flow of traffic, and local access will be maintained throughout the closure period.
