MAYOR-PRESIDENT BOULET ANNOUNCES LEDA BOARD APPOINTMENTS
Lafayette, LA – Mayor-President Monique B. Boulet announces two new appointments to the Lafayette Economic Development Authority (LEDA) Board:
- LUS Fiber Director, Michael D. Soileau
- Municipal and Constituent Services Advisor, Vincent Pierre
The Lafayette Economic Development Authority (LEDA) Board of Commissioners is appointed by governmental and educational entities and works with LEDA staff to encourage and assist in economic growth and development within Lafayette Parish.
“I believe both of our LCG LEDA appointments bring a wealth of experience in business and in politics,” says Boulet. “Strong economic development is vital to the success of Lafayette Parish as we grow and develop. I have great confidence in the LEDA team as well as our new appointees.”
Michael D. Soileau is an accomplished and results-driven senior business executive with over 20 years of experience in the telecommunications industry. With nearly a decade of dedicated service at Comcast, Soileau is well-versed in multi-year, strategic plans encompassing financial, customer experience, and growth objectives. He holds a bachelor’s degree in International Business from the University of Texas at Austin and a master’s degree in Business Administration from Louisiana State University at Shreveport. Soileau’s progressive and entrepreneurial style has consistently driven success and innovation within the industry. His deep understanding of telecommunications coupled with his strategic acumen makes him well-suited for this board position.
Former State Representative Vincent Pierre served for 12 years in the legislature and has extensive experience working with local government and constituents to improve the Lafayette community. Pierre earned a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from Southern University and has since grown his skills in sales, leadership and relationship building. He continues to remain engaged in local initiatives and has a gift of bringing people together.
