State of the Parish

Lafayette Mayor-President Monique B. Boulet will deliver the State of the Parish Address on March 12, 2025, providing an update on Lafayette Parish’s progress and outlining priorities for the future. The business luncheon event, presented by Ochsner Lafayette General, will be held at the CAJUNDOME Convention Center and is open to the public, with tickets available for purchase.

Mardi Gras Information

Graham Brown Memorial Park Ribbon Cutting

Community members, stakeholders, and outdoor enthusiasts are invited to attend this momentous occasion and explore the newly expanded Brown Park. The ribbon-cutting ceremony and grand re-opening celebration will take place on February 27 at 3:30 p.m.

Milton Public Meeting

Lafayette Consolidated Government is hosting a public meeting on March 18 from 6-8 p.m. at the Milton Civic Center to provide official updates on Homewood, Picard Park, and more. Nearby residents, business owners, and members of the media are invited to attend.

Youth Baseball & Softball Registration

Registration is now open for the Lafayette PARC Youth Baseball/Softball programs. Boys and girls ages 5-16 are invited to participate in the upcoming season, which will run from April 14, 2025, through May 23, 2025.

YOUTH BASKETBALL SCHEDULES

Lafayette PARC’s Junior NBA and Junior WNBA Youth Basketball Programs will take place from January 4, 2025, through March 8, 2025, at the Robicheaux, Domingue, Thomas, Dupuis, and Comeaux Recreation Centers.

Economic Injury Loans Available for Working Capital Needs

The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) announced that low interest federal disaster loans are now available to small businesses and private nonprofit (PNP) organizations in Louisiana who sustained economic losses caused by the January 2025 winter storm that occurred Jan. 21-24. The SBA issued a disaster declaration in response to a request received from Gov. Jeff Landry on Feb. 4.
