Meet Mayor-President Monique B. Boulet

Monique B. Boulet serves as Lafayette Parish’s Mayor-President, bringing a focus on accountability, modernization, and long-term progress for our community. Since taking office in 2024 as the first woman to hold this role, she has worked to strengthen core services, invest in infrastructure, and build momentum across Lafayette.

About the Mayor-President

A lifelong resident of Lafayette, Mayor-President Boulet has dedicated her career to public service and regional leadership. Prior to taking office, she served as CEO of the Acadiana Planning Commission, leading major initiatives in infrastructure, economic development, and regional planning.

Her leadership is rooted in collaboration, transparency, and a commitment to delivering results that improve quality of life for residents across Lafayette Parish. Today, she continues to build on that foundation—working alongside departments, partners, and the community to shape Lafayette’s future.
