The Rain Barrel Program is a Lafayette Consolidated Government (LCG) interdepartmental collaboration between Lafayette Utilities System (LUS) and the Environmental Quality division of Public Works (PW). The purpose of the program is to promote outdoor water conservation and sustainable stormwater management of the Bayou Vermilion Watershed.
The LUS/LCG Rain Barrel Program is designed to offer rain barrels to Lafayette Parish residents at a reduced retail cost and make them easily available for purchase during the spring season of each calendar year.
Program Eligibility
All participants will be able to purchase barrels at the discounted contract price of $65. Residents of the City of Lafayette or the unincorporated area of Lafayette Parish are eligible to purchase one barrel at a subsidized price of $50.
Please visit the vendor's website at https://www.greatamericanrainbarrel.com/community/ to place your order. Sales end April 15, 2024 or while supplies last. Barrels will be available to pick up at the Dean Domingues Compost Facility on May 4, 2024.
