CLASS TITLE: PLANT INSTRUMENT MECHANIC II (Utilities WWT)
MINIMUM STARTING PAY: HOURLY - $18.83-$23.54/DOE, MONTHLY - $3,264-$4,080/DOE
PURPOSE AND NATURE OF WORK
Position performs advanced technical electronic, electrical, and mechanical work involved in testing, adjusting, repairing, and performing preventative maintenance on control system instruments and devices at water treatment or wastewater treatment plants. Employee is responsible for formulating plans, participating in, and keeping records of regularly-scheduled maintenance programs. Incumbents work around potentially hazardous equipment and may be subject to 24-hour call in emergency situations.
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS
Graduation from high school, supplemented by technical training in the field of electrical, electronic, and mechanical control instruments and systems, and considerable experience working as an instrument mechanic; or any equivalent combination of training and experience.
TYPE OF EXAMINATION
Examination will be a written test.
