CLASS TITLE: EQUIPMENT OPERATOR III
MINIMUM STARTING PAY: HOURLY -$13.12-$16.40/DOE, MONTHLY - $2,274-$2,842/DOE
PURPOSE AND NATURE OF WORK
Responsible for the skilled operation of a Backhoe and Tandem Dump Truck.
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS
Ability to read and write, and experience in the operation of trucks or equipment similar to those described herein; or any equivalent combination of training and experience.
NECESSARY SPECIAL QUALIFICATION
Possession of a Class A Commercial Driver’s License with airbrake and combination endorsements as issued by the State of Louisiana. Applicants must have at least a valid Commercial Driver’s License or CDL permit to apply and test, but must obtain a Louisiana Class A CDL with endorsements, prior to appointment. Will need to be able to operate a manual transmission vehicle.

Performance test on the Backhoe and Tandem Dump Truck (manual transmission).
