CLASS TITLE: CLERK III (Finance & Management)
MINIMUM STARTING PAY: HOURLY - $13.45-$16.82/DOE , MONTHLY - $2,332-$2,915/DOE
PURPOSE AND NATURE OF WORK
Positions in this class independently perform tasks of highest degree of responsibility and difficulty while remaining general-clerical in nature. These tasks include contract preparation, extensive reports requiring calculations, interpretation of reports and providing appropriate services. Current opening exists in the Purchasing & Property Management division of the Office of Finance & Management, and is responsible for administrative functions related to application of state bid law in support of a Buyer II. Reviews proposed contracts; makes additions/deletions in order to comply with standards; prepares and types specifications, change orders and payments.
Completion of high school, supplemented by college level course work in business, office administration or liberal arts and sciences, and extensive progressively responsible experience in area of assignment; or an equivalent combination of education and experience in clerical positions of higher responsibility.
TYPE OF EXAMINATION
Examination will be a written exam. Note: Clerk III positions under Finance & Management require a separate application and exam from those under the “General” and “Meter Services” designations.
