CLASS TITLE: CLERK II (Health Unit)
MINIMUM STARTING PAY: HOURLY - $10.76-$13.44/DOE , MONTHLY - $1,864-$2,330/DOE
PURPOSE AND NATURE OF WORK
Position is responsible for determining programmatic and financial eligibility for all programs administered by the Office of Public Health via client interview and application of federal and state laws, policies, program regulations, procedures, and guidelines. Additional regular duties include but are not limited to answering a multi-line phone system, greeting visitors, maintaining appointment systems, fee assessment and collection, and records maintenance. Incumbents will be required to multi-task and maintain professionalism and strictest confidentiality in varying situations.
Basic computer and word processing skills and ability to operate standard office equipment desired. Graduation from high school and experience in general clerical work; or any equivalent combination of training and experience.
NECESSARY SPECIAL QUALIFICATION
May be required to work some minimal irregular hours in relation to professional training and Parish emergency health events.
TYPE OF EXAMINATION
Examination will be a written exam. Note: Applicants who previously tested for Clerk II on 8/17/2021 are eligible to apply and test for this exam administration.
