Councilman Andy Naquin represents Lafayette City Council District 2, the seat to which he was elected in 2019. An interest in building material supplies introduced him to his professional career in 1978. Years later, Councilman Naquin was hired at Doug Ashy Building Materials, where he has been part of their team since 1990.

Councilman Naquin was a member of the fifth Lafayette City-Parish Council. He was elected to the City-Parish District 6 seat in 2011 and served a single term. Councilman Naquin has volunteered his time in the community for events such as Festival International de Louisiane, Festivals Acadiens et Creoles, and Christmas in April. He is also a former house captain for Rebuild Acadiana. Councilman Naquin serves as a Eucharistic Minister for Saint Jules Catholic Church, Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, and Lady of the Oaks Retirement Manor.

Councilman Naquin is a graduate of Our Lady of Fatima School and University of Louisiana at Lafayette, where he was a member of Sigma Nu Fraternity, the Stockmen’s Association, Alpha Zeta Honor Society, and, ultimately, the University of Louisiana at Lafayette Alumni Association. He is married to Peggy Cormier Naquin and they share three (3) adult daughters – Andreé, Nikaliste (Niki), and Maurie.
